Fast, accurate cutting for tube and structural shapes

A dedicated fiber-optic tube laser lets us cut holes, slots, copes, miters and bevels directly into tube and structural steel, replacing slow sawing, drilling and manual fit-up.

Automated load and unload keeps the machine running, while self-fixturing fit-up holds each part square so features land exactly where the model says. The result is repeatable, weld-ready tube that speeds up every downstream step. Tube laser cutting is part of our wider metal fabrication department.

Materials we cut

Our tube laser cuts the same metals as the rest of our fabrication department, from mild steel to copper and brass, and we will help confirm the best fit during quoting. Not sure what alloy fits your application? Tell us the load and environment and we will recommend one.

• Mild & carbon steelOur workhorse tube and structural metal, cut up to .4 in thick for frames, brackets and general structural parts.
• Stainless steelCut up to 3/8 in thick for tube and structural work that needs to resist rust and hold up in wet, sterile or outdoor conditions.
• AluminumCut up to 3/8 in thick, lightweight yet rigid for weight-sensitive frames and structures.
• Copper & brassCut up to 1/4 in thick for tube and profile connectors, terminals and precision fittings.

Our tube laser cutting process

Every job follows the same controlled path, from first quote to final inspection, so parts come off the laser accurate, repeatable and ready for the next step whether you order one part or ten thousand.

1. Quote & DFM reviewSend a model or drawing. We confirm your profile fits the machine envelope, flag anything that would need a redesign, and quote fast.
2. Program & nestFeatures, copes and bevels up to 45 deg are programmed from your CAD and nested along the raw length to save material.
3. Laser cutOur Trumpf Fiber Tube Laser 7000 runs with automated load and unload, cutting accurate, repeatable, self-fixturing features with no manual fit-up needed.
4. Weld & fabricateCut tube flows straight into certified TIG, MIG, Spot, Stud and Laser Welding and the rest of our fabrication department, without leaving the building.
5. FinishGrain sanding and burr removal happen in-house, and outside finishing such as powder coat, plating or paint is coordinated as needed.
6. Inspect & shipEvery profile is inspected for accuracy against the model, then packaged and shipped direct to you or moved straight into welding and assembly.

What comes after cutting

Cut tube is rarely the finished product. As a one-stop Texas shop we handle the steps that usually mean another vendor and another shipment:

• Tube bendingA dedicated tube bender adds curves and radii to round tube and pipe, so a frame that needs both straight laser-cut sections and curved runs stays in one shop.
• Welding & fabricationCertified TIG, MIG, Spot, Stud and Laser Welding joins your cut tube into frames and assemblies, and self-fixturing fit-up speeds the work.
• CNC machiningCut tube that needs close-tolerance holes, bores or mating features moves straight to our machining floor, in the same buildings.
• Coating & finishingWe provide grain sanding and polishing in-house, and coordinate powder coat, plating and paint so parts arrive fully finished.
• Assembly & box buildWelded tube frames are built into electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and complete product builds, all under one roof.
