Quality and certifications
Quality is built into every step at Star Precision. From a certified ISO 9001 quality system to IPC-trained electronics inspectors and certified welders, we hold the credentials that let you trust your parts, boards and assemblies.

An ISO 9001 quality system you can verify
Star Precision operates a documented ISO 9001 quality management system, certified by an independent third-party registrar. That means an outside auditor verifies our quality system on a set schedule, so the certificate is verifiable rather than self-declared.
In practice, ISO 9001 means every job is controlled the same way, from quoting and material traceability to in-process checks, final inspection and corrective action. That discipline is why customers move to us after struggling with quality and late deliveries elsewhere.
More about Star PrecisionThe credentials we hold
Every certification below is active on site and applied to real production work. Here is what each one means for you.
ISO 9001
An ISO 9001 quality management system. Your work is planned, controlled and documented for consistent, repeatable results.
IPC-A-610 / IPC-A-610
Our inspectors are certified to the IPC standard for acceptability of electronic assemblies, so your PCBs are judged against an industry benchmark, not opinion.
IPC/WHMA-A-620
The accepted standard for cable and wire harness assembly. Your harnesses are cut, crimped and built to defined, inspectable requirements.
J-STD-001
The soldering standard for electronic assemblies. Solder joints on your boards meet documented workmanship and reliability criteria.
ESD-safe department
Our electronics area is a certified ESD-safe environment, protecting sensitive components from static damage during build and handling.
Certified welding
Certified welders and qualified processes for TIG, MIG, Spot, Stud and Laser Welding, so structural and cosmetic welds are strong and repeatable.
CMM inspection
Coordinate measuring machines verify machined and fabricated dimensions to high accuracy and produce the data behind first article reports.
Laser quality inspection
Laser inspection confirms cut and formed parts match the print, catching deviations before they reach welding, assembly or your dock.
Dimensional accuracy you can prove
Quality is only real if it is measured. We inspect and test across the whole build, from raw metal to finished electronics, and hand you the data to back it up.
Dimensional inspection
CMM measurement of machined and fabricated parts.
Fabrication accuracy
Laser quality inspection against the drawing.
PCB solder paste
SPI, solder paste inspection before placement.
PCB assembly
AOI and X-ray inspection for hidden joints.
Harness and cable
Continuity and automated testing.
Finished product
Functional testing and troubleshooting.
Quality that scales from prototype to production
The same certified team and quality system cover a single prototype and a full production run. That means the accuracy you approve on a first article is the accuracy you keep at volume.
